5 Steps To Ground The Energy of Your Business

Have you ever felt ungrounded?

You know that feeling where you can’t think straight or your mind jumps from one thing to the next, not being able to focus on the task at hand.

Maybe you’ve felt like you’ve had a really bad headache or were super dizzy.

It can be where you feel misunderstood or like you’re not grasping what someone is trying to tell you.

This can all cause havoc in your life, especially when you’re trying to complete a task or strategizing where your business is going.

Grounding is often talked about in the spiritual and mindset community. It’s focused on people and their lack of connection to the Earth, self, to the here and now, and to the reality that exists around them. When people spend a lot of time meditating, or out of their body, their energy often becomes ungrounded and unstable.

Grounding is your way of taking what it is that you uncover about yourself and life, and what is going on in your life currently and creating a solid foundation for you to live, build, and expand upon.

What some people don’t know and what’s rarely talked about is that your business can become ungrounded as well. It can have the same lack of connection with the here and now and the energy of your business can be all over the place.

When a business becomes ungrounded it creates a lack of clarity and misaligned energy, which causes confusion and a lack of connection for people you’re looking to sell and promote to.

When this happens it’s vital to recognize it immediately so you can reground the energy of your business and start seeing the results your business is working toward.

Luckily you are one, if not the MOST, powerful and impactful person to reground your business.  In most cases, you are the only one.

Here are 5 things you can do to reground your business.

  1. Ground yourself!

In most cases, one of the main reasons a business has become ungrounded is because you, as the creator and the CEO, are also unstable and ungrounded.  Your flighty, misaligned energy is causing your business to hold the same flighty, chaotic energy that you are putting out. If you take the time to balance your thoughts, bring your energy back into your body and then push your energy through your feet into the ground, you’ll feel much calmer, collected, and focused. You’ll be grounded.

  1. Pick one Service to Focus on at a Time

Oftentimes when starting or expanding a business your brain is going 100 miles an hour thinking of all the possibilities that exist for you to serve others and ultimately bring more money into your life. People often promote that the most successful people in the world have multiple streams of income. The more services you have, the more opportunities for cash flow.  But what you often forget is that with these many offers and services, it can create confusion. That confusion creates unbalanced energy. You can have multiple offers. But be clear on which one you are focusing on at each time and create a solid structure and platform for each service before moving on to the next.

  1. Implement Systems and Procedures

No matter how big or small your business is, systems and procedures help you work more effectively and help to create flow inside the business. This promotes the grounding of the energy in and around YOU and your business. When you fail to have systems that help your business to create consistency in your work life and how the business operates on a daily basis, you do things off the tip of your head, often in a different order, forgetting something here, dropping the ball on something over there, and you feel like your scrambling to get things completed. Systems and procedures will eliminate wasted time and energy, bringing focus and direction into your working day and grind the energy.

  1. Create Clear Goals and a plan to achieve them.

I’m sure you built your business because you had big dreams of changing your life for the better. You imagined the impact you could create, the freedom you could have and the money that you could make. Honestly, there are so many benefits to creating something so special and important to yourself and others. But having big dreams and no plan on how to execute them creates instability and vastly ungrounded energy in your business. Working in the business world I’ve found that the majority of people who start a business are amazing at their skills, however, they lack the knowledge on how to actually build, structure, run and grow a business. Without that knowledge, they fail to create a plan of execution. That lack of planning causes them to show up every day in their business and best case guess at what’s the most productive and important thing they handle that day. Creating a well-executed plan will create that stability and grounding you need for success.

  1. Create Consistency

Your business thrives on FLOW.  But oftentimes everything you are doing with you and inside your business creates unease, imbalance, and back and forth energy.  Being consistent is VITAL.  Not just consistent in what you offer or how you run your business, but how you show up in your marketing, with your clients, and the results that you give.  When you change up the way you work, when you flip back and forth on your prices, when you are excited one day and lack any enthusiasm the next, people feel this as it ungrounds your business. When you create consistency in how you show up, when you show up, where you show up, and what it is that you are focused on, you create stability and reassurance. That allows your business to become stable, strong, consistent, dependable, and very well-grounded.

Energy has become an important aspect of everything in life. Whether it’s you, your clients, your offers and services, or your business itself, the energy needs to be your first priority. When you make energy the priority it supports the success and growth of your business and supports you in achieving all those dreams you had when you first started your business!
